In August 2003, the multi-platinum superstar Nelly, alongside Yomi Martin and Ian Kelly, created their unique brand, Apple Bottoms. Nelly describes the intent behind the design by saying:

In April of 2004, Apple Bottoms partnered up with Picked Fresh, LLC in a new venture to expand and further develop the brands early success. Since then, Apple Bottoms has matured into an international fashion focused denim brand. AppleBottoms international status has grown rapidly with the labels' induction from the USA into Europe, South Africa, Dubai, Australia and New Zealand.
The signature apple pockets, which began as Apple's core, has transcended into a cutting edge collection that extends the boundaries of denim.
